The regulation of bridging loans is actually very complex, and my experience has been that very few understand it fully.

My cases have included bridging loans that ought to have been regulated, but that were not, because the lender deemed them to be unregulated, perhaps stating they were for business purposes, or changing the borrower from a person to a company.
